There is only one word to describe the new LifeTime Fitness Club in Raleigh: spectacular. The new fitness club is opening on Falls of Neuse Road. The grand opening occurred in March 2015.
The new fitness club will offer a healthy cafe, full-service spa, an indoor cycling studio, nationally renowned group fitness instructors and personal trainers, and cutting-edge fitness equipment. In addition, it will have a running trail and a Kids Academy.
Derek Nereu, general manager, has been with the company off and on for about 15 years. He has held different positions such as the Regional VP, General Manager, National Director of Job Manager, AD, Senior AD and Regional Vice President.
When asked to describe the club, Derek Nereu said, “ [It is] absolutely amazing. This is what we would consider a diamond level club in most areas and what I mean by diamond level is, the finishes in this club are absolutely just amazing. The members are going to be floored. There isn’t a better facility, not within three states of this facility right now.”
In comparison to the other lifetime Fitness Clubs, this club offers LifeTime ProActive Care. The ProActive care in the club is like a mini clinic where members can get their bloodwork, flu shots and diagnoses. In addition, it is one of the first clubs to have a Kids Academy, but what really makes the Raleigh club shine above the rest is the people.
Nereu said, “What makes this club especially special is, first of all, the Kids Academy. The kids academy is probably one of the biggest game changers in our company’s 15 year history. Where our parents can drop their kids off in our kids academy, and they can take up to 65 different classes a week for a $20 charge.”
Derek Nereu continued: “There is a lot that the public doesn’t know about the club… When they walk into the building for the first time they are flat out going to be blown away… To talk about the club is one thing but for them to actually see it is another.”
