New 2010-2011 schedule for LRHS

Leesville Road High School will be following a new schedule for the 2010-2011 school year.

This year Leesville implemented early release Wednesdays and dismissal at 2:28 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Also, the school had Pride period for twenty minutes each day except for Wednesday.

The schedule for next year will be similar to the schedule in the 2008-2009 year.  School will continue to start at 7:25 a.m. but now will conclude at 2:18 p.m. every Monday through Thursday.  The Wednesday early release schedule will no longer be continued.  Instead, there will be six early release Fridays where students will be dismissed from school 2.5 hours early on these days.

The school is currently still debating whether or not to have Pride Period for the upcoming school year.

  1. As a student, I love pride period, because it allows time for students to make-up quizzes and other assignments, and also study for upcoming tests in other classes.

  2. Pride Period is invaluable in my opinion. For one thing, it gives students a chance to talk with teachers and get extra help.

  3. Pride Period is helpful to my son. He used to go to Spanish and Math teachers during those times to understand the material and to get an extra help. I wish that pride period continues in the future years also.
