Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ Fall Tour comes to Raleigh’s PNC Arena on November 19.
Macklemore is currently on tour with The Heist, his second studio and most recent album. The Heist was released in October of last year and immediately rose to the number two spot on the Billboard 100.
Macklemore has been a struggling artist since 2000. That year he released Open Your Eyes, his first EP. He released it under the name Professor Macklemore.
His career took a huge turn after meeting Ryan Lewis in 2006. Lewis was a photographer for one of Macklemore’s promotion. They became close friends, and he eventually became his producer.
With the help of Lewis they released “Thrift Shop”, and Macklemore finally received the credit he deserved. “Thrift Shop” sold over 10 million copies and hit number one in sixteen different countries.
Macklemore is expected to play majority of the songs off his new album along with a few other popular songs, like “Otherside” and “Irish Celebration.” Macklemore’s high energy and love for what he does is sure to make for a great show.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis started their tour on October 22 in Portland, Oregon and will end with three shows in Seattle, Washington, his home town, spanning from December 10-12.
