LRHS knitting club

“You aren’t knitting? You’ve got to be kidding!”

Knitting is a good way to be creative. If you like to express yourself through art, then knitting is your niche. Needleless to say there is a surplus of designs for socks, scarves and sweaters.

Robyn Dennis is head of the club, and she joined in fall of 2013. She became President because she enjoys knitting, and has been helping club members with their knitting skills.

A regular meeting consists of coming up with ideas for events that the club could participate in. The future is bright for knitting club. Once the club starts to gain more adept knitters, they plan on hosting speed knitting competitions.

Knitting club has been growing increasingly larger since it began in 2012. There were a total of 26 people who came to the last meeting on Thursday, October 9, whereas it used to just be Mary-Kate Bowers and a group of friends.

There is plenty of yarn to go around, but you are encouraged to bring your own. So come out to knitting club, grab some yarn and have a ball.
