Kanye West Finally Releases ‘The Life of Pablo’

Finally, after weeks of waiting, Kanye West has released his highly anticipated album: ‘The Life of Pablo.’

The road to releasing West’s seventh studio album was winding and complicated. It was highlighted by the number of significant changes that were made over the weeks leading to the release.

On January 24, West tweeted an image of the “completed tracklist” for ‘Swish,’ the album’s name at the time.

However, only a few days later, West tweeted an updated tracklist for the album, renamed ‘Waves.’ The simple notepad was scribbled on by famous celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Chance the Rapper, among others.

On February 10, the “final” tracklist for the album was tweeted, and, once again, it was renamed. This time ‘The Life of Pablo.’

On February 11, the general public got its first impression of the album at an event in Madison Square Garden, where West performed a 10-song version of the album.

A day later on February 12, the album was again modified, which came as no surprise, despite the rapper’s promised release that day. After eager anticipation, fans were disappointed when the day came to an end and the album had not yet been released.

According to Kanye, Chance the Rapper (Chancelor Bennett) was at fault for the delayed release. Chance had fought hard for the song “Waves” to be kept on the tracklist, and the rappers had to work busily into the night to place finishing touches on the song, hindering the release.

Finally, the album was officially finished and was tweeted by Chance the Rapper.

Following a Saturday Night Live performance on February 13, West dropped the album on TIDAL for $20, where it will be sold exclusively.

Many Kanye fans were caught in a whirlwind of confusing changes as they awaited the release of ‘The Life of Pablo.’ However, now that the album is final and released, fans can relax and enjoy Kanye’s latest masterpiece.
