Senior class council and the advisors–Mrs. Yost and Mrs. Winoski–are working to create a senior shirt for 2025 graduates, but they need your help!

The senior class council has asked Loonie seniors to submit a class shirt design by September 9, 2024.

Nyah Von Haam, senior class president, said, “Senior class council is currently collecting designs and will pick the design that best fits 2025.“

Ms. Hyer will work to create the official graphic before sending it to the manufacturer to get processed and distributed by 2nd semester.

Senior shirts are not a tradition at Leesville, but many prior graduating classes have produced shirts in remembrance of their high school career.

“The shirts are serving as a memory maker, for uniformity at events, and just having a shirt that we can all remember the senior year by,” said Von Haam.

All seniors are urged to design an original, Leesville-inspired shirt to submit to the senior class council. The link to submit ideas is on the senior class council’s Instagram page or the “All Things Class of 2025” page on the LRHS website.

Carson Thorne, a senior designer, said, “I want to participate in the shirt design competition because I want the shirt to be simple and quality — something that someone actually wants to wear.”

Thorne plans to submit a design with a lion that says “Leesville Seniors 25” on the back of the shirt. He aims to encourage the committee to include a pocket in the front corner of the shirt with a lion paw print on it.

Leesville encourages students to use their imagination and creativity to generate the best design to represent the class of 2025.

“You can look at that shirt and think of all the good things from that year,” said Von Haam.
