Ms. Todd’s learning style and engagement has made her a favorite among students here at Leesville.
Ms. Todd previously worked at Central Valley High School for 9 years, as a teacher and as well as coach. Ms.Todd said, “I taught at Central Valley before I came here. I also coached, I worked in staff development as well.”
Before becoming a teacher, picking a career choice was hard for Ms. Todd. She switched from many different careers before finally settling on education.
Mrs. Todd, said, “I actually went back and forth between career choices, and it just kept coming back. I adore it — it’s a lot of work, but I like to see the growth in my students.”
On her journey of becoming a teacher, Ms. Todd was in the Omega Chi girls sorority, and she was a paraprofessional (teacher aid).
Ms Todd, said, “After I got my degree, I went through something called a single partnership program which is where our graduate classes would go up to the school and teach some of the students.”
Ms Todd’s learning style and engagement has made her a favorite among students. Her teaching style includes both group and individual education, along with incorporating class engagement using fun topics.
“I love that it does something to the students, I hope when they read that I can help them picture it versus just watching a movie,” said, Ms. Todd.
Ms. Todd loves making an impact on students. She definitely leaves a mark on every class she teaches.
