LRHS students have their final exam next Week

Wake County Public Schools hold high school exams between the first and second semesters after winter break.

At Leesville, exam situations vary between classes. In some courses, projects may replace the traditional “test-style” exam, while other classes may have a teacher-made exam or state-proctored tests.

Projects allow students to utilize their newly found knowledge in the class while not having to attend the allotted exam period.

Exam periods are correlated to class periods throughout the week of January 13. At the end of each day, a grab-and-go lunch is available before an early dismissal of 1:15 PM.

On Monday, students who enrolled in Math I, Math III, or English II will need to attend and take the EOC. These exams are state-created and mandated.

On Tuesday, first- and second-period exams are scheduled. First-period teacher-made exams, CTE State assessments, and biology EOC will span from 7:25 to 10:05 AM. Second-period teacher-made exams, CTE State assessments, and biology EOC exams will span from 10:15 to 12:55 PM.

This schedule will repeat on Wednesday but with third and fourth-period course exams.

Thursday and Friday serve as makeup days for students who could not make earlier dates. In order to take an exam these days, an appointment must be made with the individual’s teachers.
