A new semester for leesville students

A new semester has started at Leesville, bringing opportunities and challenges for students. students are excited about what’s ahead, but there will be some challenges as well. Despite this the semester gives students a chance to improve and achieve their goals.
With the semester students have the opportunity to meet new friends and teachers. Students could also learn new subjects or join clubs and sports teams.

“I can’t wait to start biology because I love doing experiments. It´s one thing to read about science, but actually seeing it happen makes learning so much more interesting,” said Lyla Niemier, sophomore.

A new semester will bring some challenges for students, in the form of struggling in certain subjects, doing homework,  managing time effectively, staying on top of assignments, and dealing with increased workload.

“¨Math has always been tough for me, so I know I´ll have to work extra hard this semester. Last semester, I waited until last minute to study, and it didn’t go well. This time, I plan to go over notes every night, do extra practice problems, and ask for help when I need it,” said Caysen Jude, freshman.

To overcome these challenges, students should plan to stay organized, ask for help when needed, and manage their time better.

“I’m going to use a planner this time so I don’t forget any homework or projects. Last semester, I kept losing track of assignments, and it really hurt my grades,” said Kia Mccabe, sophomore.

A new semester means new goals, students can improve their grades or participate more in class.

“This semester, I hope to get straight A’s. Last semester, I did okay, but I know I can do better if I focus more. I want to stay ahead on assignments, actually study for tests instead of cramming, and make sure I understand everything before moving on,” said Hayden Wilks, sophomore.

A new semester may feel different from the last , from getting new classes, or getting into harder classes. Students should expect some changes.

“Last semester, I didn’t study enough for tests, but this time I’m going to make a schedule and stick to it,” said Gabe Shaffer, junior.

The new semester is a fresh start. Students are excited, but they also know there will be challenges. By staying focused, working hard, and setting goals, they are ready to have a successful semester.
