NoRa Cafe renovations improve the customer experience

NoRa cafe is located just seven minutes away from Leesville Road High School and is a popular location for Leesville students to study and spend time with friends.

As a landmark in the Raleigh community, NoRa Cafe sees a high volume of customers every day from high school students to adults around the area.

From January 6, 2025 to January 27, 2025 the NoRa cafe operated on altered hours while the cafe worked to renovate. During this time, NoRa was open from 7am to 3pm on weekdays and 7am – 9pm from Friday-Sunday.

“I go to NoRa after school to work on my homework and just hang out with my friends a lot. I feel more productive when I’m there and it’s a nice place to be,” said Taylor Gorell, senior.

In order to meet increasing demand, the cafe began renovations to expand into the neighboring book store space.

“I have been going to NoRa since I got my license my junior year, but it’s gotten so busy that I haven’t even been able to find a table sometimes…Because of the renovations there’s now a wall with a sliding door that connects the cafe and the bookstore. I hope they use the extra space for more seating,” said Georgia Liley, senior.

NoRa Cafe employees report that the purpose of the additional space acquired through the renovation could be used for events, additional seating, and more.
