THE BEST ADS AT SUPER BOWL LIX

Every year, the price for a 30-second Super Bowl ad skyrockets. This year’s Super Bowl was no exception. Brands pay millions of dollars for a spot in the coveted commercial breaks, finding any way to think outside the box and break boundaries.

For a starting price of $8 million, these ads the payoff can be huge if the ad connects with audiences around the world.

Here are some of the most well-received ads from Super Bowl 2025, showcasing a mix of creativity, star power, and humor.

Nerds Gummy Clusters

For something a little more whimsical, Nerds Gummy Clusters stole the show with a unique, vibrant ad. This ad stands out to me because it uses pop culture to talk about a fan favorite candy.

The artist Shaboozey enjoys a pack of Nerds while a parade of dancing Nerds march through New Orleans to the tune of “What A Wonderful World.”

The ad’s surreal yet joyful vibe captured the spirit of the candy, and the New Orleans setting added a fun and joyful touch. It was an imaginative celebration of the sweet, colorful world of Nerds.

Doritos

Doritos provided a contest for creators around the world to shoot and film, where the winning ad Abduction won. This ad stands out to me in the way where it showcases aliens in a silly way where they are often portrayed as scary.

In this ad, a man is enjoying a bag of Doritos when a tractor beam suddenly pulls the chips away. As the man fights to keep his snack, the UFO explodes in an unexpected twist.

In the end, the alien who wanted the Doritos shares the chips with the women, proving that even extraterrestrials can appreciate the classic flavor. It was a funny and quirky way to showcase the popular snack.

Lays chips

Lays chips ad, The Little Farmer, shows the story of a little girl who starts her journey of growing potatoes, the little girl takes care of it in all weather.

The ad’s inspiring story and relatable appeal made it a fan favorite, highlighting how Lay’s chips are perfect for sharing while watching a football game.

These ads showcase new material and ideas that have never been seen before and that’s why they are able to connect with audiences everywhere.
