Valentine’s Day is on February 14, 2025, and people are preparing to make dinner, hangout plans, or buy gifts.
However, I think that Valentine’s Day is easily the worst holiday on the calendar.
For one — and speaking from much personal experience — those who have to spend the day alone absolutely despise — silently but it’s there — everyone who gets to go out and spend time with their special someone.
Another point is this: Why do people wait until Valentine’s Day, or someone’s birthday, or Christmas, or another holiday for a guy to buy flowers or chocolates? Orl to buy something small that they mentioned?
Save the big stuff like jewelry, watches, perfume, makeup, etc, for the big holidays, yes, but little things throughout the year is not too much to ask of anyone. I mean a bouquet of flowers is $10-$15.
I think that’s why a lot of breakups happen around Valentine’s Day, too.
I have heard so many stories from people talking about their significant other and how they did this, or talked to this person, or liked this post, what have you. Most of that chaos is sparked by a holiday like Valentine’s Day.
Because you know, as soon as somebody finds out that their special someone has been doing something shady like talking to a different person, it’s over for teens because for some reason they seem to have a hard time working through simple relationship issues.
If it wasn’t obvious, I hate Valentine’s Day. It’s a holiday for those in relationships, and when many people aren’t and are left thinking about the plans they could have had on this pretty terrible holiday.
