Leesville Road High School March Scholarship Bulletin

As college decisions start rolling in for most high school seniors, applying to scholarships are more important than ever. With the immense financial burden of attending higher education both in private and public universities, scholarships are a crucial part of affording college for many students.

Each month, the Leesville Road High School student services team puts together a list of scholarships that are eligible for LRHS seniors and/or juniors.

This month, there are 16 scholarships available to students. Scholarships available range from $1,000-2,000 to full tuition.

Some scholarships are merit based rewarding top academic achievement, leadership, and community service while others are need-based, providing financial assistance to students from low income families. Several opportunities are available for specific career goals or cultural backgrounds, such as the Morehouse College Triangle Alumni Association Scholarship for students planning to attend an HBCU in the fall 2025 semester or the Raleigh Engineering Club Scholarship (REC) for any high school senior that plans to study engineering at NCSU in the upcoming fall semester.

Deadlines for scholarship applications vary, with application deadlines extending from late March through the end of May.

It is vital for students planning on attending college to stay up to date with scholarship opportunities and deadlines as the fall semester comes near.

“I have a lot of scholarships I’ve been applying to now that I’m done with college applications. Finding scholarships that are legit and keeping up with deadlines has been hard,” said Taylor Gorell, senior.
