On September 29, Google held its annual press conference in San Francisco.
Google announced their release of two new phones and new software features.
The Nexus 5X is made by LG and is intended for the medium range of the buyer’s market with a price of $379 for the 16GB version and $429 for the 32GB version.
The 6P, made by the Chinese company Huawei, is targeted to a more premium range of the market. The 6P will have three versions: 32GB for $499, 64GB for $549 and finally 128GB for $649.
Google also presented some features of their new OS Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now on Tap is one of the features that has drawn most of the attention; this is a new way of searching with a smartphone without having to write. An example of this is if someone was texting with one friend and they suggest for them to go out for dinner but to a restaurant they don’t know much about. By holding on the home button, Google will automatically search the restaurant. The Now on Tap can do the same thing with books, music, etc.
The second version of the Chromecast was also presented. Chromecast is a device that lets you connect your TV and phone. It will let you stream content from your phone such as music, photos, videos onto the TV and vice-versa.
This second version includes a new and more useful design and improvements on the Chromecast functions. This new version will be priced at $35.
