A new club has joined Leesville Road High School called the Young Democrats Club.
Noah Derucher, a student at Leesville, created the club with the intention of creating a wide Democratic Party.
Their first meeting will be on Thursday, November 4th, but the club has already met together a few times to help decorate the hallways during spirit week.
Students show excitement over this new club, “I joined the club because I saw it as a good opportunity to meet new people who have the same political beliefs as me, and understand their viewpoint on things going on in the world,” says Johnny Pohlman, a member of the club.
The club will meet every Thursday directly after school.
The Young Democrats Club is a social club where you can debate issues and hang out with like-minded people.
The new young democrats club is still accepting members and is open to anyone who’s interested.
