Leesville Loves fall activities

As the crisp air of fall settles in, students are eagerly embracing the season’s favorite activities. The autumn season truly brings an array of activities, offering a blend of cozy traditions, outdoor adventures, and festive events. From the active thrill seeking state fair, to friday night football games, or even making a cup of hot chocolate and watching Halloween Town, there is an activity for everyone.

Sophia Maurizzio, junior, especially enjoys this time of year. She said, “I like going to Girdies Pumpkin Patch, I go every year” it is a cherished tradition between her and her family. For Maurizzio, visiting the pumpkin patch is more than just finding a pumpkin, it is about soaking up the festive and cheerful atmosphere.

Maurizzio also takes pleasure in the cooler weather. She said, “I enjoy the cold weather and wearing long sleeves and pants.”

Another student, Tyler Gomez, senior, said, “Enjoys watching football every Saturday and joining a fantasy football league,” adding excitement to his and his friends’ weekends. The combination of watching his favorite football teams and strategizing brings the most engagement and enthusiasm to his favorite season.

Gomez also enjoys the Halloween festivities. He already knows his costume. Gomez said, “I enjoy Halloween, I plan to dress up as Anakin from Star Wars.” He believes this is a time where he is able to freely express himself and be his truest form.

These fall activities not only highlight Maurizzio and Gomez’s favorite fall activities but also capture the spirit of this cool and breezy autumn, giving many great experiences and memories, so make sure to enjoy this season, while packing in the most fun and excitement.
