The 2024 Leesville Hall-oween event will take place on Tuesday, October 29. At the event, Leesville invites members of the community into the school to trick-or-treat around the various classrooms.
The event is free, and will be located at Leesville Road High School from 5 PM to 8 PM.
Many Leesville clubs participate in the event. Clubs will set up in classrooms in the CTE and Social Studies hallways, which are located in the first floor of the main building. Club members will decorate classroom doors with a Halloween theme, dress up in costumes, and pass out candy or host games for visitors.
LRHS students can receive volunteer hours from participating in Hall-oween, either through donating candy to their club or attending the event.
Elise Cha, junior, is in charge of planning the Hall-oween event with Leesville’s Executive Council.
“Clubs are going to host trick-or-treating and kids from elementary and middle school are going to come and get candy. Clubs can also host games… It’s fun, it’s Halloween spirit, and it’s for the community too.” said Cha.
The Hall-oween event connects Leesville to the local community and provides kids with an additional opportunity for Halloween fun.
“It’s like a small Halloween carnival… It gives kids a chance to socialize with each other and… it really helps your kid get familiar with Leesville, especially if they are going to come here [for high school],” said Haley Baker, junior.
Students at the Leesville Road Middle and Elementary schools are encouraged to attend Leesville’s Hall-oween trick-or-treat event, as well as any kids who want extra candy this Halloween.
