The controversy around tyson and paul fight

Boxing matches always thrive on a mix of spectacle and controversy and the Mike Tyson / Jake Paul fight was no exception. While some fans see it as an entertaining clash of generations, others question its legitimacy. Some rumors have been swirling that the fight might have been scripted.

Jake Paul is a YouTube influencer, now boxer, and is no stranger to criticism of the authenticity of his fights. His previous fights have been accused of featuring opponents who took dives or intentionally held back to build his image.

On the other side, Mike Tyson was a heavyweight legend who has very little to gain from a staged fight. However, his return to the ring in recent years have been more exhibition matches rather than a true competition.

When the two faced off many people noticed how Tyson did not look nearly as intense as his training videos. He was known for devastating punches during his prime. Although, in this fight Tyson seemed to hold back his punches leading people to wonder if the fight was staged.

Jake Paul seemed to hold his own against the former champion, but looking at the fights closely it looked staged. While Paul is very athletic his ability to keep pace with Tyson made people very skeptical.

Although Tyson is over 30 years older than Paul, he still looked like he was holding back many punches and intensity.

The fight appeared to be more of choreography for a dance rather than an actual boxing match. Critics have said they are skeptical about the authenticity of the fight.

However, scripting a fight of this magnitude would have been detrimental to both of their careers. Tyson’s legendary legacy would have been ruined, and Paul’s would have been reassured as a joke.

Some people have said boxing is becoming the new WWE, making it more of a T.V. show series than a serious competition.

The fact of the matter is that people would have had to keep the scripting of it a secret which would have been an extremely difficult thing to do. Despite all of the evidence that it was not scripted, it just seemed a little too good to be true with all of the punches Tyson held back and video evidence of both Paul’s and Tyson’s training.
