Entertainment plays a huge role in our daily lives, offering an escape from reality and a way to connect with different stories and characters. Whether it’s a thrilling crime series, a hilarious romantic comedy, or a dramatic reality show, the things we watch often reflect our interests and personalities.
Everyone has a favorite movie or TV show that they love to watch. Some people enjoy action-packed films, while others prefer comedy, romance, or drama.
Some students enjoy reality TV for its unpredictable and dramatic moments.
“I love [The Kardashians] because there’s a lot of drama, and you never know what’s going to happen next. The family is always dealing with something new, and it’s really interesting to watch how they handle it all. It’s fun to see their glamorous lifestyles but also how they deal with everyday problems like friendships and family arguments,” said Harper Linticum, sophomore.
The Kardashians is a very unpredictable show and is perfect for people who love the reality TV genre. “One minute, they’re traveling to a beautiful location, and the next, they’re having a dramatic argument at dinner. It’s always exciting, and you never get bored. I like seeing how they run their businesses and how each of them has their own personality,” said Linthicum.
“If you like shows that are full of surprises and big personalities, you’ll love this one. It’s so fun to watch, and there’s always something crazy happening. The Kardashians is a great show for people who love drama and anyone who loves the Kardashians in general,” said Linthicum..
Others prefer lighthearted movies that mix romance and humor. “I love the movie Anyone But You because it’s the perfect mix of romance and comedy. The characters have great chemistry, and the storyline keeps you engaged with its fun twists and humor. It’s not just about love; it’s also about how people find their way back to each other,” said Logan Robinson, sophomore.
When asked how she first discovered the movie, Robinson said. “I kept seeing clips of it on TikTok, and my friends were talking about it, so I decided to watch it.” When asked who she would recommend it to, Robinson said, “I would recommend it to teens who love rom-coms because it’s funny, heartwarming, and full of entertaining moments.”
Some students enjoy watching shows that are full of drama, as well as comedy and romance. For those who love emotional and exciting stories, Grey’s Anatomy is a great choice. This popular medical drama has been around for a long time and keeps fans hooked with its mix of intense medical cases, strong friendships, and love stories.
“I love Grey’s Anatomy because it has everything—drama, romance, emotional moments, and interesting medical cases,” said Connor Lilley, sophomore.
“The characters feel like real people, and you get really attached to them. Some episodes will make you cry, and others will keep you on the edge of your seat, ” said Olivian Erskine, freshman.
She first started watching the show after hearing so many people talk about it. “I kept seeing clips online, and so many people said it was amazing, so I decided to try it. At first, I didn’t think I would like it that much, but after a few episodes, I couldn’t stop watching. The way the show mixes medical cases with personal drama is really interesting, and every season makes you want to keep going,” said Erskine.
