“Adopt a part of the Leesville Pride!” is the official slogan for the adoption of four of the “Leesville Cats”. The kittens are up for adoption by Mrs. Stacy Symes, school clerical, who wants to reduce the amount of furry friends running around the campus.
There are 17 adult cats living at school, and Symes has already adopted out 11 kittens. She has two females that she would still like to give to a good family.
The issue with adopting the Leesville cats are that they are feral and live in a colony established at Leesville. Any cat over 6 to 8 weeks old are unadoptable because they are adapted to their colony.
Symes has no specific date that she wishes to adopt these 5-week-old kittens out, but she would love to see them adopted to a good home as soon as possible.
None of the “Leesville Cats” have been infected with fleas, ticks or any diseases. Symes is giving the kittens away for free, but they have not been spayed/neutered.
Those interested can contact Mrs. Symes at ssymes@wcpss.net or can visit to her at the front office for more information.
